ASCB Celldance Public Outreach Award-Winning Animation by Graduate Student Bin He

Bin He, a third year graduate student in the Cimini Lab, received the "Celldance Public Outreach Award" at the annual meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB), held in Denver, CO from December 3 to December 7, 2011.

The Celldance contest is a cell biology film contest organized each year by the ASCB since 2005.  Bin He created an animation illustration the molecular mechanism of the mitotic checkpoint, a biochemical pathway that acts during mitosis to ensure accurate chromosome segregation.
