Kendall, C. and J.J. McDonnell. . 1998.  Isotope tracers in catchment hydrology. Elsevier, NY.

ISBN 0-444-81546-5

Dr. Kendall has been a leader in the application of isotope chemistry to physical, chemical, and biological studies of wide ranging character.  Dr. McDonnell is a leading expert in physical and chemical hydrology.  Together, they have generated an excellent text on isotope applications to hydrologic studies.  The basics of stable isotope geochemistry are superbly addressed and the book is a treasure for those of us interested in ecosystem-level hydrology.  Solid chapters are contributed for N and S as well.
