Lori Blanc, Ph.D. Post-doctoral Research Associate Biological Sciences, Virginia
Tech
|
Bio: I am a currently a post-doctoral research associate in the department of Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech, conducting research in avian community ecology and conservation biology. However, my background is fairly broad and diverse. I have degrees in computer science, with minors in business, and psychology. I have teaching, research and work experience in the areas of computer literacy, programming, computer architecture, cognitive science, neural network modeling, molecular genetic techniques, endangered species management, environmental consulting, and earth sustainability. I am fascinated by the natural world and am in awe of life on our planet. Thus, my attraction to the biological sciences -- the study of life. To see my full Curriculum Vitae, click here. My Motto:
Be good natured and untidy in your exuberance. In the glare of your mind, be modest. And beholden to what is tactile and thrilling. Live with the beetle and the wind.
