Provide us with some brief initial information about yourself. We will
reply as to whether your credentials appear appropriate for our program.
If so, then you will be encouraged to complete a full application. No fee
is required until you go on to a full application.
1)
A bachelor's or master's degree in any area of science or engineering.
2)
Results of the GRE general examination. The minimum combined score for the Quantitative and Verbal exams is 1000. However, most students that gain admission have significantly higher scores.
3)
Results of the
TOEFL examination for applicants whose native language is not
English, except those applicants who have graduated from an accredited
university where English is the language of instruction. The
university-wide minimum requirement is 80 on the Internet-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 550 on the paper-based
test. However, most students that gain admission have significantly
higher scores.
4)
Two copies of official college/university transcripts. One copy sent to the Graduate School and one copy directly to the Interdepartmental Graduate Program.
5)
Three letters of recommendation. Ideally these should be submitted using the online option within the online application system. Alternatively, they can be sent directly to the Interdepartmental Graduate Program.
