All students admitted into the Interdepartmental Microbiology program are supported with a stipend of at least $1600 per month with tuition fully paid.  The program provides these funds during the first semester while students are performing research rotations. Following placement in a specific lab, student funding is supplied by the research mentor’s lab or department. This funding may be in the form of a grant-supported research assistantship or in a departmental teaching assistantship. In either case, full payment of tuition is included.  All students are also eligible for fellowships and scholarships from within the university and from outside sources.
