Stephen Scheckler

Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences

September 7, 2001: Stephen Scheckler honored with emeritus status

A member of the Virginia Tech community since 1977, Scheckler won several national and international awards for scholarship, including a Fulbright Fellowship in Belgium, a Bullard Fellowship at Harvard University, and was elected as a member of the Linnaean Society. He published regularly in peer reviewed literature and has written book chapters in textbooks and symposium volumes. He also received Certificates of Teaching Excellence from the College of Arts and Sciences and the university’s Xcaliber Award for course software development.

He received his bachelor's degree, master's degree, and Ph.D. from Cornell University.
